The 20130615 beta release (repeater)
Hi Folks
Most of the changes in this release are associated with the new multi-hardware
D-Star Repeater. The sound card interface is now complete and seems to do the
right thing :-)
My original sound card repeater dates back to early 2009 and was my first
attempt at developing D-Star software, it's been in operational use since August
2009 but the new D-Star Repeater has allowed me to revisit some of the decision
that I'd made back then and using new knowledge that I've gained in the interim,
simplify the structure of the new sound card driver. If all is well then the
changes shouldn't make any difference to its operation compared to the Sound
Card Repeater, but internally it is much simpler.
This now means that the new D-Star Repeater supports all of the hardware types
that the existing Sound Card, GMSK, DV-RPTR, and DVAP repeaters and nodes now do
separately. The only piece missing from the jigsaw is the support for Split
Repeater functionality, and that will come in due course.
Other changes in this beta release are the addition of an optional delay in the
startup of the DV-RPTR V1 driver, the default is off. The reason for this will
be revealed later.
Finally XRF250 has been added to the DExtra Gateway.
